The following is a list of musicians who have appeared in the Canadian punk rock music group SNFU. The band formed in 1981 in Edmonton, Alberta, and relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia a decade later.[1] They have survived two breakups and an extended hiatus in their career, with singer Ken Chinn (known as Mr. Chi Pig) remaining the only constant member. Since their inception, 22 musicians have played in SNFU. Chinn co-founded the band with guitarists Brent and Marc Belke, twin brothers who served as long-standing members of the group until 1998 and 2005 respectively. The band's rhythm section has seen extensive fluctuation.
Their first run of activity, spanning 1981–1989, saw membership from four bassists (Warren Bidlock, Jimmy Schmitz, Dave Bacon and Curtis Creager) and three drummers (Evan C. Jones, Jon Card and Ted Simm.) For their 1991 reunion tour, Chinn and the Belke brothers reenlisted Creager and Card; when they returned to full-time activity in their new home of Vancouver, bassist Ken Fleming and drummer Dave Rees joined the group. Fleming was replaced by bassist Rob Johnson soon thereafter, completing the band's "classic" (best-selling) lineup.[1]
Brent Belke and Rees both departed in 1998, and with drummer Sean Stubbs, they became a four-piece band. Chris Thompson replaced Stubbs two years later, but the band went on hiatus in 2002, with both Johnson and Thompson then departing.[1] Chinn and Marc Belke returned to activity the following year with new bassist Matt Warhurst and drummer Trevor MacGregor, the latter soon replaced by Shane Smith. This era of the group ended in 2005, when the band again broke up.
Two years later, Chinn and former member Fleming (now playing guitar) began a new lineup of the group along with bassist Bryan McCallum (soon replaced by Denis Nowoselski) and drummer Chad Mareels.[2] The years that followed saw Smith and, later, Card return as the group's drummer. Card thus became the only musician other than Chinn to play in all three eras of the band (being before, between and after the two breakups.) In mid-2010, rhythm guitarist Sean Colig was added to the band, marking their first five-member lineup in twelve years.
